TASK 3 Research and plan your itineraries

•  Choose one day each to focus on → Friday 1th of June and Saturday 2nd of June
• Find out the activities you chose to include that day. Use this information to make sure your itineraries work.

TIMETABLE

Day 1: Friday 1th of June

8.15: Arrive with your host student

8.30 – 15.00: 6 lessons with 2 breaks in the middle (the first one lasts half and hour and the

second one, fifteen minutes).

15.30 – 16:45: Lunch in a restaurant called SET, which is in front of the lake.

17.00 – 18.00: go for a ride in the lake with rowing boats

18.15 – 19.30: go for walk in the city centre and eat an ice cream (or something just like this).

20.00 – 22.00: have have a traditional Catalan dinner in Jana’s house

Day 2: Saturday 2th of June

9.30 – 10.00: have breakfast, concretely, a Cargol, one of the most famous pastries of

Banyoles.

10.30 – 11.30: go walking around the lake.

11.30 – 12.15: go to Els Banys Vells and have a snack before lunch.

14.00 – 16.00: have lunch in Les Estunes.

16.45 – 18.00: go to the theatre and enjoy a play.

18.15 – 19.00: help the exchange student to make the luggage and say goodbye to her/him.

SCRIPT

Day 1: Friday 1st of June

Hi! I’m Irina and I’m Jana and today we’re going to show you which activities we’ve prepared for the 2 days you’re going to spend with us. Banyoles is not a big city, concretely we are

approximately 19.397 habitants, not too many! But, despite this fact, Banyoles is an idyllic place to live or to get away. The beautiful landscape and the varieties of sports you can practise here, makes this place unique. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s go!

It’s half past eight in the morning so, it’s time to start the lessons. The first one is English. Come on! On Fridays we do 6 lessons with 2 breaks in the middle. This is very tough, but when is time to go home we all are very happy because the weekend arrives!

It’s 15.30 and we are in a restaurant called SET. As you can see, it’s a tennis club with a

fantastic views of the lake.

We are in the lake! We are going to go for a ride with rowing boats. We will spend a great time. Enjoy the views!

To finish the afternoon, we are going to go for a walk in the city centre with some friends. There we can eat an ice cream or whatever you want.

Now it’s eight o’clock and a delicious Catalan meal is waiting for us in my house (Jana). Bon

appetit!

Day 2: Saturday 2nd of June

Good morning everyone! It’s Saturday and now we are going to have breakfast. We have

bought one of the most famous pastries of Banyoles, a Cargol!

To wake us up, we’re going to go walking around the lake and, when we finish, we can go to els Banys Vells and have a snack before lunch.

It’s 14.00, time to have lunch! This time, we are going to go to Les Estunes and eat a fantastic meal.

Finally, in the afternoon we are going to help you to make the luggage. That means, that’s the end of these two great days!
